Why Im Upset at plastics

Proposals One idea I have in mind is to photograph an installation or furniture made out of plastics. The furniture can be placed in the studio at school, and we can make a catchy phrase or caption and edit it unto the photograph. Almost like an advertisement, but of course we just want to promote awareness. One phrase I thought of was “got plastics?” or “you’d be surprised what plastics can do”. A second proposal is having a shoot at the waste management facility, and having a group of people…See More

Another documentary that changed my thinking about plastics is “Toxic: Garbage Island,” which is a film based on a crew’s journey to the North Pacific Gyre. I was in…See More

Why Plastic Piss Me Off

After attending the Santa Monica Recycling Centre, I realized they were also a business who needed money to survive I felt bad that people were not caring enough to appreciate where their junk is being sent to and who is taking care of it. Its so simple to recycle but because of our irresponsible behaviours, I feel that our earth is turning into a piece of junk. I saw more that we as students need to step in and make a difference. It just takes one person to collect recyclable plastics to make…See More
